MILS0802-10GM — time server and L2/L3 SFF military switch router

copper8 + 10GbE fibre2 / GNSS grand masterinternal

A compact unit that combines GNSS-referenced time distribution with L2/L3 switching, for vehicles, UAVs and field command posts where space and power are limited.

Overview

Accurate time synchronisation underpins communication, targeting and situational awareness. MILS0802-10GM takes its time reference from an internal GPS chipset (external antenna required) or from external PPS and NMEA input, and distributes it as a PTP grand master. Accuracy to the reference clock is ±50 ns (±25 ns in optimised mode for a static position with GNSS reference).

The certifications listed are published as expected rather than completed. If this matters for your decision, we will confirm the current status.

Frequently asked questions

Is an external antenna required?

Yes, when using the internal GPS chipset, via the antenna connector. Alternatively the time reference can come from external PPS and NMEA input.

What is the synchronisation accuracy?

As a PTP grand master, ±50 ns to the reference clock. In optimised mode for a static position with a GNSS reference, ±25 ns.

What happens if GNSS is unavailable?

Holdover keeps time for a period. Tell us how long you need and we can discuss the configuration.

What about availability and lead time?

These depend on the configuration. Tell us what you are considering.
