High-reliability networking such as HSR/PRP, TSN and PTP

Are you running into these barriers with FPGAs?
Not enough design resource or time
Building an FPGA board from scratch takes six months to a year for circuit design, PCB, power, thermal design and BSP work. Finding dedicated engineers is hard too, and the product slips.
Long-term supply and procurement risk
Industrial, medical and automotive equipment assumes supply measured in decades. Device end-of-life, or the sudden discontinuation of a consumer-grade board, threatens the life of your product.
Compact size with performance and reliability
Fitting high I/O, fast communication, video processing and AI inference into a limited footprint while keeping reliability in harsh environments is a demanding brief for an in-house design.
That is whyProven industrial SoMsas the foundationSelection, evaluation, design, production and maintenanceyou need a partner who can take it all on.
The core technology of the two companies we represent.
Two things sit at the heart of building an FPGA into a product: the System-on-Module that provides the hardware foundation, and the networking IP that connects it. We supply both, from two companies recognised worldwide in their respective fields.
FPGA / SoC modules (SoMs)
A System-on-Module brings FPGA, CPU, memory, power and configuration onto a business-card-sized board. It saves you designing an FPGA board from scratch and drops a proven module into your product.
- FPGA fitted: AMD Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC and RFSoC, Versal, Artix, Kintex, Intel and more
- Series: Mercury+, Mars and Andromeda (chosen by capacity and performance)
- Deliverables: the module itself, base boards, BSP and Linux, and reference designs
- Highlights: compact, high I/O, industrial temperature and ten-year-plus supply

Industrial Ethernet networking IP cores
Networking functions as a design you build into the FPGA. Networks that do not drop out, do not fall behind and keep a common time base - exactly what industrial equipment and infrastructure demand - implemented on the FPGA itself.
- Redundancy: HSR / PRP (interruption-free ring and duplicated networks)
- Deterministic networking:TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking)
- Time synchronisation: IEEE 1588 PTP, SyncE and IRIG-B
- Integration: managed switching, security and implementation on a SoM
Combining a System-on-Module with networking IP lets you build industrial network equipment with minimal development effort. Being able to source both through one point of contact is what we offer.
Combining products - how to choose and how it fits together
Turning an FPGA into a product means combining the elements below. We supply every one of them, right through to the finished unit.
Come to us even at the "we do not know what to choose" stage. We ask about your application and propose the right combination - module alone, module with carrier board, or a finished unit including IP cores.
Five strengths, one screen at a time.
Scroll horizontally (mouse wheel on a computer, scroll down on a phone) to see the strengths of the modules in turn.
a whole system condensed into a business-card footprint
FPGA or SoC, memory, power and configuration are consolidated onto a SO-DIMM or compact board. Hundreds of components you would otherwise design in yourself are replaced by one proven module.
- SO-DIMM form factor from 67.6 x 30 mm
- Far less board area, smaller equipment
- Component sourcing and assembly risk absorbed by the module

Up to 686 user I/O plus high-speed transceivers
Built on AMD Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC and RFSoC for high-end parallel processing, video codecs and fast serial communication - up to 1.14M logic cells on the top-end modules.
- Quad-core ARM plus FPGA fabric
- High-speed MGTs for PCIe Gen3/4 and 10/40GbE
- Models with integrated H.264/265 codecs are available too

Expand freely with a base board
Extend the periphery with standard base boards or FMC and PCIe. Moving from evaluation to your own carrier board design is straightforward, and reference designs speed up bring-up.
- FMC, PCIe, Ethernet and USB supported as standard
- From evaluation board to production carrier
- Reference circuits and BSPs provided

Industrial grade built for harsh environments
Industrial temperature (-40 to +85 C), rugged design and custom work such as conformal coating - through to MIL-standard ruggedised equipment. Reliability that does not stop in the field.
- Commercial and industrial temperature grades as standard
- Extended temperature and coating handled individually
- Ruggedised MIL-STD equipment is also available

Supply commitment for the next ten years
Enclustra commits to long-term supply for industrial use, reducing EOL risk and supporting procurement planning for long-life products in medical, automotive and infrastructure. As their reseller we pass supply information on directly.
- A long-term supply policy built for industry
- EOL and successor product information provided directly
- Support for stable procurement in volume production

Three classes to choose by application
From entry class to high end, by capacity, I/O and performance. Choose from standard products, and where those fall short, optimise with a custom order.
- Entry class: Mars / Mercury series - compact and cost-focused
- Mid-range: Mercury+ XU series - balanced
- High-end: Andromeda series - up to 686 I/O and 1.14M logic cells

Check the configuration from the official block diagram
The official manufacturer block diagram lets you see exactly how the processing system, DDR4, PHYs, MGTs and I/O are arranged. We provide the information you need for design work.
- PS (ARM) and PL (FPGA) integrated on one device
- DDR4 ECC, eMMC and QSPI on board
- GbE, USB, PCIe and plenty of I/O

Support for SoMs and carrier board, BSP and volume production
We do not simply sell modules. Evaluation boards, BSPs and Linux, carrier board design, volume production, maintenance and continued supply - we support the whole product lifecycle.
- Arranging evaluation kits and samples
- BSP, Linux and reference designs provided
- Carrier board contract design and production support
- Long-term maintenance and continued supply

Can we adopt this without FPGA design experience?
Yes. We work with you from gathering requirements through product selection, evaluation hardware, BSPs and reference designs, to carrier board design support. Lowering the barrier to using FPGAs is our job.
Can we buy small quantities? Can we just evaluate?
We handle everything from small evaluation quantities to volume production. Starting with an evaluation kit or sample is perfectly fine - just get in touch.
What is the difference between standard products and custom orders?
The combination of FPGA code, memory capacity and temperature grade differs by product. Tell us the configuration you need — including device changes, extended temperature or conformal coating — and we will confirm with the manufacturer what is available and how long it takes.
How far is long-term supply guaranteed?
Enclustra commits to long-term supply for industrial use. We pass on EOL notices and successor product information in advance and help you plan procurement.
