Challenges in the field

Are you running into these barriers with FPGAs?

Challenge 01

Not enough design resource or time

Building an FPGA board from scratch takes six months to a year for circuit design, PCB, power, thermal design and BSP work. Finding dedicated engineers is hard too, and the product slips.

Challenge 02

Long-term supply and procurement risk

Industrial, medical and automotive equipment assumes supply measured in decades. Device end-of-life, or the sudden discontinuation of a consumer-grade board, threatens the life of your product.

Challenge 03

Compact size with performance and reliability

Fitting high I/O, fast communication, video processing and AI inference into a limited footprint while keeping reliability in harsh environments is a demanding brief for an in-house design.

That is whyProven industrial SoMsas the foundationSelection, evaluation, design, production and maintenanceyou need a partner who can take it all on.

Products we handle

The core technology of the two companies we represent.

Two things sit at the heart of building an FPGA into a product: the System-on-Module that provides the hardware foundation, and the networking IP that connects it. We supply both, from two companies recognised worldwide in their respective fields.

FPGA / SoC modules (SoMs)

A System-on-Module brings FPGA, CPU, memory, power and configuration onto a business-card-sized board. It saves you designing an FPGA board from scratch and drops a proven module into your product.

  • FPGA fitted: AMD Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC and RFSoC, Versal, Artix, Kintex, Intel and more
  • Series: Mercury+, Mars and Andromeda (chosen by capacity and performance)
  • Deliverables: the module itself, base boards, BSP and Linux, and reference designs
  • Highlights: compact, high I/O, industrial temperature and ten-year-plus supply
See the Enclustra SoM list →

Industrial Ethernet networking IP cores

Networking functions as a design you build into the FPGA. Networks that do not drop out, do not fall behind and keep a common time base - exactly what industrial equipment and infrastructure demand - implemented on the FPGA itself.

  • Redundancy: HSR / PRP (interruption-free ring and duplicated networks)
  • Deterministic networking:TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking)
  • Time synchronisation: IEEE 1588 PTP, SyncE and IRIG-B
  • Integration: managed switching, security and implementation on a SoM
See the SoC-e IP core list →

Combining a System-on-Module with networking IP lets you build industrial network equipment with minimal development effort. Being able to source both through one point of contact is what we offer.

Combining products - how to choose and how it fits together

Turning an FPGA into a product means combining the elements below. We supply every one of them, right through to the finished unit.

1
System-on-ModulesThe heart of the system, bringing together FPGA, CPU, memory and power: Mercury+, Mars and Andromeda.29 products

2
Carrier boardsThe board a SoM mounts on, bringing connectors, power and I/O out to the outside world.12 products

SBC / BOX (ready built)Standalone computers and network equipment you can build straight in.7 products
3
IP cores (networking)The design that goes inside the FPGA, implementing high-reliability networking such as HSR/PRP, TSN and PTP. Combined with a SoM or SBC, it becomes the inside of a network device.17 products

Come to us even at the "we do not know what to choose" stage. We ask about your application and propose the right combination - module alone, module with carrier board, or a finished unit including IP cores.

Can we adopt this without FPGA design experience?

Yes. We work with you from gathering requirements through product selection, evaluation hardware, BSPs and reference designs, to carrier board design support. Lowering the barrier to using FPGAs is our job.

Can we buy small quantities? Can we just evaluate?

We handle everything from small evaluation quantities to volume production. Starting with an evaluation kit or sample is perfectly fine - just get in touch.

What is the difference between standard products and custom orders?

The combination of FPGA code, memory capacity and temperature grade differs by product. Tell us the configuration you need — including device changes, extended temperature or conformal coating — and we will confirm with the manufacturer what is available and how long it takes.

How far is long-term supply guaranteed?

Enclustra commits to long-term supply for industrial use. We pass on EOL notices and successor product information in advance and help you plan procurement.

What about supply and cost in volume production?

We quote individually against your quantity and specification, and support stable procurement and delivery management in volume production. Talk to us about supply planning based on demand forecasts.
